Syrian/foreign extremists attacking the Assad government are good. Very similar rebels in Mali are bad. How do I know? Because the US and European countries only support the good guys. Any bombing that appears to kill civilians in Syria is described as an ‘air attack’ , implicating the Syrian government. This excuse can’t be used in Mali. The inspiration to this post was news of a University bombing in Aleppo. Suicide or car bombings are never described as ‘rebel’ attacks. The viewer is left with no clues that it might (and probably was) a Free Syrian Army attack. The old adage is true … It’s not what you say , it’s what you don’t say.
